How do I activate the cruise control on my 93 g20 infiniti?

I can push the dash button and the wheel button and sometimes the cruise control light on the dash blinks? Is this a fuse issue- and if so as this is a split year- will the switches be the same or different?

    The issue is problem with the ascd circuit you need to have your car checked out and see exactly what the issue.
