I have about 6000 miles on my 2006 infiniti. I have the sports coupe 6 speed manual. Their is a distinct and incredibly annoying whistle that comes from the transmission. it is prevalent throughout the gear range, up to about 40 miles an hour. Additionally, I have a grinding in the shift linkage. I have been to the dealer many times and have spent way too much on the customer affairs line. In the end - EVERYONE heard all the sounds I complain about, BUT Infiniti has decided that they consider this noise ‘normal’. I have been driving stick my whole life - this is not normal. If I find enough people who are also experiencing this, I would like to file a class action - I am not kidding. Please let me know if you are having issues like this.

My tranny so its an added bonus contact me if you need more info may be able to dig up the tranny so its an.

I’ve driven at least 100 M/T G35’s and all of the transmissions are noisy and notchy feeling. The clutches also wear very quickly if you drive it hard. They aren’t smooth right off of the delivery trucks. These transmissions by design are more “race” like than luxury. You can try having the gear oil in the transmission changed to a high quality synthetic and it may help.
